Commercial Solar Installation in Courtenay, BC – 28.7 kW System

Project Overview

This commercial solar installation in Courtenay was designed to reduce operating costs and stabilize long-term energy expenses for a small business facility.

The property had sufficient roof space to support a larger system capable of offsetting a significant portion of the building’s electricity usage.


System Design

The system included:

  • 70 Longi solar panels

  • Sol-Ark hybrid inverter for flexible energy management

  • Fast Rack commercial mounting system

  • Grid-connected system designed for future battery integration

The hybrid inverter allows battery storage to be added in the future if needed.


Installation Process

Installation was completed over four days.

This included:

  • Mounting system installation

  • Panel installation and electrical wiring

  • Inverter installation and system integration

  • Electrical inspection and system activation

The system is expected to produce approximately 30,000–33,000 kWh annually.
